PM Modi’s Visit to Doha Strengthens India-Qatar Friendship

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Qatar’s leader in Doha. “My visit to Doha has added new vigor to the India-Qatar friendship. India looks forward to scaling up cooperation in key sectors relating to trade, investment, technology, and culture. I thank the Government and people of Qatar for their hospitality,” PM Modi stated in a post on X. PM Modi has departed for India after his two-nation visit to the UAE and Qatar. He arrived in Doha, Qatar’s capital, on Wednesday night from the UAE. He was accorded a ceremonial welcome in Doha on Thursday and held a bilateral meeting with the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. The meeting was also attended by the External Affairs Minister, S Jaishankar, and National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval.
