ASEAN food fest opens in downtown Ho Chi Minh City
The festival, slated to be held from November 24 to 27 on the section of Le Loi Street from Pasteur Street to Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street, is the first public event on the street after seven years as the street was earlier blocked for the construction of an underground station of the city’s first metro line. The street was reopened to traffic at the end of August this year after the last construction barriers were removed. On behalf of the organizer of the 2022 ASEAN Food Festival, Ho Xuan Lam, vice-president of the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations, said on Tuesday that during the event, dishes of ASEAN countries are to be introduced to visitors. At an ideal venue, the festival is expected to welcome a large number of visitors to participate in cultural, artistic, and culinary activities.
